Pharmaceutics III (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: Students will develop an: - Understanding of the different routes of drug delivery and the factors that influence the delivery of drugs to the body; and principles of therapeutic drug monitoring. - Understanding of the sources and consequences of nonlinear pharmacokinetics in drug therapy. - Understanding of the pharmacokinetics of drug interactions. - Ability in applying the knowledge of pharmaceutics to understanding the science of contemporary dosage forms and their use in the practice of pharmacy.

Assessment: End-of-semester examination (June) (2 hours): 70% + Workshop assignments: 30%
