Tapestry practice and theory 1B (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: On successful completion of this unit, students will: 1 have explored a number of specific tapestry techniques; 2 have gained some understanding of colour, surface, scale and composition; 3 have begun to explore issues about representation; 4 have developed skills and knowledge about studio practice; 5 understand and apply the principles of occupational health and safety practices in the studio

Assessment: Folio of studio work: 100%, of which at least 20% will be assessed before mid-semester.

Contact Hours: 12 hours per week, including six hours of taught studio and six hours of personal study and studio practice

Prerequisites: Admission to BFA course

Corequisites: OHS1000
