Tapestry practice and theory 2A (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: On successful completion of this unit, students will: 1 have further explored processes related to and derived from tapestry weaving; 2 have increased technical and aesthetic fluency; 3 have further considered their work within a historical and contemporary context; 4 have produced a comprehensive artists journal; 5 understand and apply the principles of occupational health and safety practices in the studio

Assessment: Folio of studio work: 100%, of which at least 20% will be assessed before mid-semester.

Contact Hours: 12 hours per week, including four hours of taught studio and eight hours of personal study and studio practice

Prerequisites: Admission to an Art & Design course or permission for all other students

Corequisites: OHS1000

Prohibitions: FNA1903 or FNA1904
