Synopsis:

Objectives: As for SWK3260 with the additional objectives of students being able to understand the key role played by the welfare lobby and other interest groups in social policy debates; and understand and be able to debate the influence of international and global debates on the future of the welfare state.

Assessment: Interview with welfare lobbyist (1000 words): 20% + Major essay (3500 words): 80%

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week

Prerequisites: SWK3260. Social Work units are available only within the context of the Bachelor of Social Work degree, or with permission.
