Synopsis:

Assessment: Essay (2000 words): 50% + Class test (1500 words equivalent): 30% + Short assignment (1000 words): 20% + Third-year students must demonstrate greater knowledge of current theorising than second-year students, but no greater knowledge of the classical theoretical perspectives.

Contact Hours: 2 hours (1 x 1 hour lecture and 1 x 1 hour tutorial) per week

Prerequisites: A first-year sequence in Sociology or permission

Prohibitions: SCY2100
