Synopsis:
Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be expected to be able to: 1. appreciate the importance of management in a dynamic changing environment; 2. apply the concepts and methods of management to plan and organise coordinated delivery of nursing care; 3. demonstrate a knowledge of leadership and its role in promoting quality of health care; 4. evaluate an aspect of nursing administration of a health care unit or agency utilising appropriate tools and methods; 5. assess the need for and plan change within a health care unit or agency; and 6. use a variety of management skills to improve effectiveness of nursing care delivery.
