Synopsis:

Objectives: On completion of this subject students should be able to: 1. describe the effects of commonly encountered groups of substances; 2. describe the common chemical causes of occupational and environmental disease; 3. discuss the concepts of environmental illness and multiple chemical exposure measurements; 4. conduct simple measurements and evaluate the results of chemical exposure measurements; 5. evaluate and recommend protective measures for chemical exposures.

Assessment: Web-based tasks + Assignments + Examination

Off-campus attendance requirements: 20 hours contact over 4 days
