Synopsis:

Objectives: The unit gives students an introduction to individual and group counseling skills and processes at a theoretical level. Theory and skills are intertwined in the workplace and an attempt will be made to help students integrate their experiences with theoretical and conceptual issues. To achieve this goal, the subject will be presented in a workshop format. The workshop will examine the development of group dynamics while developing students' individual and group counseling skills through workshop exercises and individual student projects. Theoretical issues will be presented in the context of experiential workshop exercises and throughout the semester as group dynamics evolve.

Assessment: Assessment comprises four requirements, two of them hurdles.
