Work group and organisational change (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: This unit reviews theoretical models and empirical research on work teams in organisations. Various types of teams will be examined and the factors which influence effective team performance. Theories of leadership, such as the trait approach, situational models and transformational theories will also be examined with reference to team performance, together with empirical research. At the organisational level, the focus will be on models of organisational change and development with specific reference to organisational climate and culture.

Assessment: Practical Component (50%) Theoretical Component (50%)
