MMS1409Multimedia computing studio 1 (6 points)(IT) Leader: Lindsay Smith
Offered: Synopsis: Assessment: Practical Assignments and Project Work: 100% Practical assignment and project work will aim to produce multimedia products or components of multimedia systems which will be done both individually and in groups. Individual components will aim to assess the student's competence in the practical use of multimedia tools and system management tools and techniques (knowledge, understanding and skill objectives), and group components will be used to assess their ability to work collaboratively (knowledge and attitude objectives). Contact Hours: The workload will be 12 hours of study per week for 13 weeks, but the proportion of this time devoted to different activities will vary throughout the year. On average, the weekly load will comprise:1 hours of lectures/seminars1 hour tutorial/laboratory sessions6 hours of work on studio work, demonstrations and practical assignments4 hours of reading and individual study time Prerequisites: Multimedia Computing Studio 1 is only available to Bachelor of Multimedia Computing students who have completed MMS1402 and MMS1802 Corequisites: MMS1403 Prohibitions: MMS1407, MMS1408, IMS1404 |
