Synopsis:
Objectives: On successful completion of this unit, students will: 1.be able to use high-level multimedia authoring software for advanced multimedia scripting; 2.be able to translate terminology and concepts particular to multimedia authoring in project documentation to application in a multimedia authoring environment; 3.be able to analyse and evaluate of a number of multimedia authoring software tools; 4.be able to analyse an advanced multimedia design problem and identify an appropriate scripting solution; 5.understand the role of specialist forms of authoring, scripting and programming in multimedia production; 6.investigate a specialised application of multimedia authoring and scripting tools in the development of multimedia;
Assessment: Major project: 50% + Exercises: 25% + Essay: (1500 words) 25%
Contact Hours: 2 hours per week of lectures and supervised studio
