Synopsis:

Objectives: By the end of this unit, candidates will: 1. appreciate the aetiology of psychotic disorders; 2. be able to detect and diagnose psychotic disorders in the primary care settings; 3. be competent at prescribing antipsychotic medications; 4. be able to participated in shared care of patients with psychiatrists and community services; 5. be familiar with local community resources for patients suffering from a psychotic disorder.
