Pre trial analysis and preparation (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: At the successful completion of this subject the student should be able to: (1) undertake a structured analysis of material with a view to giving evidence in court; (2) prepare a report which provides a suitable foundation for the giving of that evidence; (3) identify different approaches to the giving of expert evidence and explain the impact this has on analysis and preparation; (4) explain the expert's function in conferenceing with lawyers.

Assessment: This Subject will be assessed as Pass or Fail only and no grades will be allocated. There will be ongoing assessment including reflective activities, case studies, assignments and a final assessment task. Participation in the online discussion group will also be required.

Prerequisites: Must be enrolled in Graduate Certificate of Forensic Studies (Accounting)
