Migration law (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: On completion of this subject students should (1) have a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of migration law; (2) have the ability to apply their understanding to specify tasks, eg to advise individuals as to their options for making applications; (3) be equipped to deal with any changes to the legislative scheme governing migration law; (4) appreciate contemporary issues in migration law particularly in relation to judicial review issues; and (5) have developed the ability to evaluate critically the legislative scheme.

Assessment: Research paper (5000 words): 50% + Take-home examination: 40% + Class participation: 10%
