Business finance: law and practice (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: On completion of this subject students should 1) understand the different forms of financing available to corporations and the legal conditions and constraints involved in each type of finance; 2) be familiar with the legal documentation of those transactions; and 3) understand the reasons behind the choice of a particular form of financing by corporations.

Assessment: Research paper (3750 words): 50% + Supervised examination (1.5 hours): 40% + Class participation: 10%
