Synopsis:

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to: 1. Use a variety of grammar patterns and expressions with greater accuracy. 2. Read and interpret texts from various genre areas. 3. Speak and write effectively in Korean in the areas of the student's own study and interests. 4. Understand socio-cultural aspects of Korea reflected in various genre areas.

Assessment: Five short written papers (200 words each): 35% + Written paper (1000 words): 20% + Examination (2 hours of written 25%, speaking 20%): 45%

Contact Hours: 4 hours (2 x 1 hour lectures and 2 x 1 hour tutorials) per week
