Twentieth-Century America: Race, Rights and Power (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: As for HSY2985, with the additional objectives that students successfully completing HSY3895 will be expected to demonstrate an enhanced critical understanding of a wider range of interpretations informing the history of the twentieth-century United States and skills in the formulation and development of an independent research project based upon locating and critical analysing relevant documentary sources.

Assessment: Essay preparation exercise (1000 words): 20% + Collaborative project report (500 words): 20% + Research essay (3000 words): 60%
