Mentoring and Coaching 1 (12 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: Students will achieve a thorough understanding of the methodology, theory and practice of mentoring and coaching across a range on contexts. The development of skills in formal mentoring and project design, coordination and review; an understanding of the importance of interpersonal relationships and their maintenance; the ability to establish the needs and goals of the organization in respect to coaching & mentoring, particularly in terms of induction & succession planning and performance development processes.

Assessment: Development of an action plan (4000 words): 50% + Development of a portfolio of individual professional capability (2400 words): 30% + Review of workplace action plan in terms of partnership goals and workplace objectives (1600 words): 20%

Contact Hours: 29hrs coursework (12hrs intensively) and up to 270 hrs independent study throughout semester
