Synopsis:

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit, students should have acquired an understanding of the nature and origins of project management, and its application in contemporary contexts; acquired an understanding of the main principles, strategies, tools and processes for planning, implementing, and controlling projects; and developed the basic practical skills necessary for planning and managing projects.

Assessment: Assignment 1: Develop a project management plan and implementation strategy (1,500 words) 40%; Assignment 2: Class presentation (500 word equivalence) 10%; Assignment 3: Evaluation report (2,000 words) 50%
