Advanced Outdoor Recreation Practice (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate through wirtten reports a detailed knowledge of the application of professional programs in the outdoor recreation/education industry; demonstrate understanding and acquire detailed knowledge of the theoretical elements of the selected activities; demonstrate performance competency in selected activities; demonstrate the ability to safely plan and implement a program in the selected activities; demonstrate confidence and competence in the conduct of programs for novice and intermediate groups in the selected activities.

Assessment: Knowledge and performance competency tests for selected outdoor recreation activity: 50% + Detailed log of activities (2000 words): 25%. Plan and conduct of a program for a group in the selected outdoor recreation activity (1000 words): 25%.
