Synopsis:

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to explain what the Sport Education model is and its application within a school environment; define the roles and responsibilities of participants within a Sport Education program; explain the application of different instructional methods and their suitability to the Sport Education program; plan, sequence and implement a Sport Education Unit for a school, develop a SEPEP resource; identify and explore issues associated with participation, sportsmanship, motivation, team management, instruction and the like.

Assessment: Two assignments (1500 words each): 60% + Journal (3000 words): 40% + Practical hurdle requirement

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week

Prerequisites: EDF2602 or equivalent
