Adult Educational Practices 1 (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the broad traditions and philosophical approaches in adult education; situate key terms used in adult education including andragogy, self-directed learning and facilitation; highlight perspectives and debates on the value of terms such as andragogy, self directed learning and facilitation; and reflect on the role of the adult educator and their own teaching practice as educational leaders and change agents.

Assessment: All tasks negotiated but equivalent in total to 4,000 words: Critical incident questionnaire and written critical reflective piece on their personal stance as educators, (40%) 1,500 words, Essay (60%) 2,500 words
