Behavioural neurscience honours: Research design and analysis (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: On completion of BNS4200 Behavioural Neuroscience Honours Research Design and Analysis unit, students will: 1. understand the processes involved in the design, development and implementation of research project, 2. be proficient in the use of advanced univariate and multivariate statistical procedures relevant to psychology, 3. be proficient in the use of the SPSS software package for statistical analysis and data-base storage and manipulation 4. have the capability to pursue research-related postgraduate studies in behavioural neuroscience.

Assessment: One short answere and multiple choice exam 100%, Satisfactory participation in the SPSS workshop, a hurdle requirement.

Contact Hours: 2 Hours/week of lectures (for 13 weeks in semester 1): 10 hours Spss computer workshops mid year

Prerequisites: Must be enrolled in course 3514 BNS Honours

Corequisites: BNS4100
