Drug Formulation and Delivery (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: Students will develop: - A knowledge and understanding of the theoretical principles in relation to drug absorption, bioavailability, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics and drug stability for the delivery of drugs. - An overview and awareness of basic drug formulation. - Abilities in undertaking calculations in relations to drug stability and pharmacokinetics.

Assessment: Workshop 10%; Exam 90%

Contact Hours: 48 hours of Lectures, 8 x 3 hour Workshops; and Independent study.
