Analytical Methods (6 points)

Synopsis:

Objectives: At the completion of this unit, students will: - Be familiar with the theory and practice of common methods of analysis and modern instrumental techniques. - Have the practical ability to apply the methodologies of such analytical techniques. - Understand and appreciate teh limitations of modern analytical instrumental techniques.

Assessment: Practical exam 10%; Practical work 20%; Final exam 70%.

Contact Hours: 36 hours of Lectures and Tutorials; 9 x 4 hour Practical experiments.

Prerequisites: CHM1011 Chemistry
