Synopsis:
Objectives: On successful completion of this unit, students will: 1.have competence in documenting their visual work with critical reflections on the process and outcome of their studio work; 2.be able to sustain against critical scrutiny the relationship between the stated intentions of their proposal and the results of the studio work; 3.be able to evaluate and explain the visual achievements, and justify the claim of the work making an artistic contribution of substantial significance; 4.be able critically to review insights into the artistic process suggested by the visual research.
Assessment: Preliminary work on paper: 25% + Paper concerning the documentation of achievements (5000 words): 75%
Contact Hours: 2 hours per week, 10 hours of private study
