Master of Business Administration/Master of Information Management and Systems*

Course code: 3195 + Course abbreviation: MBusAdm/MIMS + Course directors: Associate Professor Peter Reed and Dr Judy McKay + On-campus at Caulfield + Normally completed in five semesters of full-time study or 10 semesters of part-time study

This double-degree course aims to provide a broad-based foundation in business and management while providing existing and aspiring managers with the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and expertise in information management and systems, with an emphasis on information systems development and business.
Applicants require a degree with a minimum of a credit average (60 per cent) from a recognised tertiary institution, and a minimum of two years relevant full-time post-degree work experience (four years preferred).
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the MBA Programs office as to the 2004 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.

Course structure

The course comprises 20 units as follows:
(a) Ten core units:

(c) Plus nine units selected from the Master of Information Management and Systems course (subject to meeting prerequisites). Students may undertake two of the nine units from other unit offerings within the Faculty of Information Technology.
