Graduate Diploma of Business (Management)

This eight-unit course is designed primarily for graduates who wish to extend their knowledge of management theory and practice and provides an introduction to the functions of general management. Electives offer opportunities for candidates to specialise in global business, services management, organisational behaviour and change management practices.

Course structure

Normally, units are completed at a rate of two units in each of four successive semesters and each unit involves an average of 12 hours of study per week. Flexibility is ensured by permitting completion of two elective units in areas of professional focus.
There are four core units and four electives normally completed over two years of study.

Students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) at the required standard may be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Management degree offered by off-campus learning, Master of Management degree offered by the Department of Management, Caulfield campus, or the MBA program offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics. In some instances, students may be eligible for admission to a masters degree by research.
