Graduate Diploma in Accounting

Course code: 1743 + Gippsland campus + Normally two years part-time + Course director: Ms Janet Jackson + Total credit points required: 48 + Attendance not required

General course information

The Graduate Diploma in Accounting is primarily for those with non-accounting degree qualifications occupying management positions in industry or government bodies. The aim of the course is to enable students to broaden their business knowledge and increase understanding of accounting-related matters.

It allows students to take a substantial number, but not all, of the units needed to meet the academic requirements for admission to the CPA Australia program and the Professional Year program of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. As such, it suits potential students who already meet some of the requirements of these professional bodies, but not all.

Course structure

The course consists of any eight of the following 12 units that make up the Master of Practising Accounting.
