Executive Certificate in Human Resources

General course information

This course is designed for busy professionals and experienced managers who do not currently hold a degree and wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills in human resource management at the graduate level.

Course structure

The course consists of four units (semester availability is shown in brackets):
(a) Two core units:

• MGG9324 Human resource management (second semester) and
• MGG9323 Industrial relations (first semester), or
• MGG9320 Organisational change and development (first semester)

(b) Two elective units:

• Electives must be chosen from graduate units taught by the Department of Management, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics or other faculties of Monash University with course director approval.

Please note that some units require prior completion of a prerequisite unit. Some equivalent HR units are also available face-to-face at the Caulfield campus.

Articulation

Students wishing to articulate from the Executive Certificate in Human Resources into the Graduate Diploma in Human Resources must select their units in the Executive Certificate in Human Resources in accordance with the course requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Human Resources.
