Synopsis: Independent research offering the opportunity to explore areas such as digital imaging, photomedia, illustration and two and three-dimensional design. Students work independently with their progress monitored by the lecturer. Research presented to the class for formal critiquing offers the opportunity for peer review. Research projects are accompanied by a detailed journal which outlines the research methodology.

Assessment: Assigned projects: 20% + Major research project: 60% + Journal: 20%

Contact Hours: 2 studio hours and 4 independent study hours per week

Prerequisites: VCO3408
