VCM4002Graphic design for multimedia (6 points)(A&D) Leader: Troy Innocent
Offered: Synopsis: Commencing with a basic introduction and exercises, this unit develops through a sequential programme of theoretical lectures, tutorials and practice, to culminate in the complex integrations of the selected principles of design relevant to digital media. Students are introduced to the theories of perception, problem solving in design and practicalities of producing type, image, layout and colour for electronic environments. The skills and knowledge acquired, form a solid basis to support the major area of multimedia computing. Assessment: Major projects: (85%) + Minor projects: (15%) Contact Hours: 12 hours per week, including 1 lecture hour, 2 studio hours and 9 independent study hours Prerequisites: admission to either MMM or MMMComput degree |
