Synopsis: An investigation into an industrial problem related to the student's particular field of interest. The investigation may either be university or industry based and, where possible, be developed on data generated by industry. The investigation may be supported by laboratory work, field studies and/or literature searches as appropriate. Part one of a two semester project.

Assessment: Based on regular monitoring, a written report and an oral presentation: 100%

Prerequisites: Completion of 40 points from level-two and level-three units
