Synopsis: This unit will present a lifespan developmental approach to ageing. The impact of changing roles in society, community and family will be explored as will sources of variation including gender, class, culture, disability and sexuality. The concept of healthy ageing and the impact of current social policies on this will be examined.

Assessment: Practicum project (5500 words): 60% + Weekly assignments (3500 words in total): 40%
