Synopsis: An integrated, innovative and communicatively -oriented Spanish course which develops all-round competence in the basic structures of the language. The unit also introduces students to the history and culture of Spain and Latin America through the medium of integrated reading passages and film.

Assessment: Examinations (2.5 hours): 30% + Class tests and weekly exercises: 50% + On-line practices and tests: 20%

Contact Hours: 4 hours (2 x lectures and 2 x tutorials) per week plus on-line work

Prohibitions: Students enrolled in Arts courses are prohibited from taking this unit.
