Synopsis: An individual research project in a discipline relating to a major area of study, conducted under supervision. Includes critical literature review, experimental design and data analysis, seminar attendance. Student must maintain regular contact with supervisor(s) and subject coordinator.

Assessment: Three oral reports (preliminary, 10 minutes; progress, 10 minutes; final poster session): 20% + Written reports (preliminary, 1500 words, 10%; final, 8000 words, 45%): 55% + Supervisor's assessment of project planning, conduct and development: 25%

Contact Hours: Approximately 12 hours per week

Prerequisites: 24 points of second level studies with 12 points minimum in the discipline directly relevant to the project. A minimum average of Credit in all units. Permission required
