Synopsis: This unit introduces students to the principles and practice of scientific research. A range of research methodologies will be explored together with the collection, analysis and interpretation of data, methods of communication and subsequent critique of the findings. This unit will also facilitate practical experience of the research process through the completion of a small - scale project related to the discipline of radiation therapy.

Assessment: Assignment: 20% + Research journal: 10% + Project report: 60% + Research presentation: 10%
