Radiologic biology 5 (4 points)

Synopsis: Neuroglia and neurons; the meninges; the spinal cord, the composition and distribution of the spinal nerves, the brachial plexus; cerebrospinal fluid; the blood supply to the brain and the concept of the blood-brain barrier. The bones of the skull and their radiographic appearances; the structure of the brain. Olfactory sensations; visual sensations; the structure of the eye; the visual pathway. Auditory sensations and equilibrium. Cross-sectional appearances of the normal brain. Common disorders affecting the brain and their appearances on CT/MRI. Demyelinating diseases and tumors of the nervous system. Disorders and trauma of the skull and facial bones.

Assessment: Examination comprising multiple choice questions and short essay questions (2 hours): 60% + Image Recognition: 25% + Assignment: 15%
