Radiologic biology 2 (6 points)

Synopsis: The nature of disease and its aetiology. Key terms used in pathology. Injury to cells and tissues. Inflammation. Repair mechanisms Neoplasia. Pathology of the musculo-skeletal and respiratory systems. Developmental anatomy of the respiratory system. Respiratory physiology. Skeletal and soft tissue anatomy of the vertebral column, thorax and shoulder girdle. Radiographic anatomy of the abdomen, pelvis, vertebral column, bony thorax and shoulder. Radiographic appearances of common disorders affecting the appendicular and axial skeletons (excluding skull) and respiratory system.

Assessment: Written examination (3 hours): 60% + Essay: 15% + Image recognition examination (1 hour): 25%
