Synopsis: As for PLM4340. Students taking PLM5340 will devise their own research question (in consultation with lecturer.) In researching the essay they engage in substantive research using both primary and secondary materials and show an awareness of relevant conceptual frameworks.

Assessment: Essay ( 6000 words): 50% + Seen exam (3 hours): 50%
