Masters Qualifying Research Project (24 points)

Synopsis: This subject provides students with their first experience of a supervised research project on a topic of their own choosing. Students will work up to the writing of the main research paper by a series of shorter assessment tasks, elements of which will be incorporated into the final draft. Assessment: Synopses of key papers: (3000 words) 5%, Literature Review: (4000 words) 10%, First draft of research project: (8 - 10,00 words) 15%, Final revised draft of research project 60%, Presentation of thesis to Work-in-Progress Seminar 20 - 40 minutes 10%

Contact Hours: Weekly Work in Progress seminar (2 hours) and fortnightly supervision session
