Synopsis: The subject will take the form of student-initiated discussions on problems connected with knowledge and belief. It will be mainly based on recent articles, which will be made available. www.arts.monash.edu.au/phil/undergraduate/

Assessment: Essay (3000 word): 50% + Assignment (1500 words): 50% + Either of these components may optionally be replaced by a 3 hour examination

Contact Hours: 2 hour seminar per week

Prerequisites: Two 6 point second-year level units in Philosophy including one of PHL2110, PHL2130 and PHL2170
