Synopsis: On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to interrogate the intentions of their design work, submitting it to critical scrutiny and either defending it or modifying it in the light of cultural criticism; be able to refine - and argue in favour of - their chosen working method; and will be able to express the ideological relevance of their work as well as its aesthetic virtues

Assessment: First assignment (1500 words) 25% + Second assignment (4500 words) 75%

Contact Hours: 12-hours per week; including one 2-hour seminar and 10-hours independant study

Prerequisites: admission to MVA course
