Music Composition and Technology Workshop I (6 points)

Synopsis: Theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary music composition. This includes transformational processes used in composition, basic principles of orchestration and topics related to the use of electronic technology for composition.

Assessment: Folio (equivalent 2500 words): 60% + Assignments and group work (equivalent 2000 words): 40%

Contact Hours: 2 hour lecture per week

Prerequisites: MUS1100, MUS1110
