Techniques in materials engineering II (4 points)

Synopsis: A set of twelve laboratory experiments designed to illustrate material covered in other level-2 materials engineering subjects, to give students 'hands on' experience of a variety of physical and chemical phenomena of engineering importance, and to introduce the students to a number of materials characterisation and measurement techniques.

Assessment: Long reports: 50% + Short reports: 50%

Contact Hours: 9 hours of practical classes per week for the first 12 weeks
