Clinical practice MICA 2 (18 points)

Synopsis: This subject will provide the student with the opportunity to work as the second member of a MICA paramedic crew, under the direct supervision of a MICA paramedic clinical teacher. It is expected that the skills developed in MICA clinical practice - 1 will be applied to the work environment. The subject will require the student to submit two detailed case reviews chosen from self appraisal and objective setting processes, and keep a record of clinical experience.

Assessment: Case studies: Pass/Fail + Self appraisals: Pass/Fail + Clinical reports: Pass/Fail + Viva voce panel exam: Pass/Fail

Contact Hours: 20 weeks supervised industry experience including 468 hours structured learning experiences

Prerequisites: employment by an Ambulance Service
