Synopsis: Students will undertake clinical placement at Monash University affiliated teaching hospitals in an adult intensive care unit, a paediatric intensive care unit, a paediatric operating theatre, a coronary care unit, an emergency department and an adult operating theatre. This placement provides students with the opportunity to practice MICA paramedic skills under the supervision of Monash University clinical teachers. Students will develop some confidence and beginning competence in the essential practical skills required to undertake the "on-road" clinical practice - MICA - 2 subject.
