Synopsis: The unit will develop the basic concepts of information technology and the introduce the hardware and software tools which are used in multimedia systems. The unit will introduce some of the specialist hardware and software used in the development of multimedia products and systems.

Assessment: Examination 60%. Practical Assignments: 40%
