Synopsis: Demand forecasting using simple techniques; inventory management; making inventory decisions from accounting data; design of stock counting systems and inventory valuation; assessing vendor performance; value analysis; decision trees in assessing risk; performance assessment of the inventory management and purchasing functions.

Assessment: Syndicate case study presentation: 20% + Individual major assignment (4000 words): 40% + Examination (2 hours): 40%
