Marketing research methods (6 points)

Synopsis: Introduction, role in the marketing decision process, problem identification, planning and managing a research project. Sources of information, questionnaire design, sampling, group interviews, depth interviews, data analysis, and research reporting.

Assessment: Research Proposal (1500 words):20% Research Report (3000 words):30% Examination ( 3 hours):50%

Contact Hours: 3 contact hours per week, normally comprising 2-hour lecture and 1-hour tutorial per week, or 1-hour lecture and 2-hour laboratory on specified weeks.

Prerequisites: ETX1100, MKF1120

Corequisites: MKF2111 or MKW2111
